A German-made reversible parka, estimated 1940s.
A rare arrival for our shop in the Euro anorak parka category.
Newer examples surface from time to time, but finding an older piece with genuine character proves elusive.
A reversible model with considered detailing such as this is genuinely uncommon.
The outer is a vibrant emerald green; the reverse, a versatile black. The two-way wearability is substantial appeal. The emerald stitching visible when worn black-side-out is a particularly fine detail.
While well-known vintage pieces have their place, there is something distinct about discovering an item that has escaped recognition—perhaps that is the true pleasure of vintage.
The condition is notably clean, with minimal soiling or damage. There are no significant issues preventing wear, and it remains fully serviceable.
The proportions suit the Japanese frame well—a golden size, as we might say. It accommodates various builds equally well, whether worn close or deliberately oversized.
Should you have been searching for such a piece, this warrants consideration.
