Canadian Navy (The Royal Canadian Navy is an organization that has been responsible for national sovereignty, maritime transportation, and coastal defense as the maritime force of the Canadian Armed Forces, and its institutional starting point lies in the Naval Service Act, enacted in 1910.

This naval force initially began as the ``Naval Service of Canada,'' and on August 16, 1911, King George V authorized the designation of Canada's naval force as the ``Royal Canadian Navy (RCN).''

During World War II, the RCN's presence expanded decisively.

The ``Battle of the Atlantic'', which protected supply lines across the Atlantic, was a lifeline for the Allies that determined the war effort itself, and the RCN was deeply involved in this battle, mainly in convoys and patrols.
